I’m Maya Creedman, an educational consultant with a background in teaching and educational psychology. I’ve guided students and families through every step of the college planning and application process — from exploring interests and strengths to developing academic plans and authentic applications. I approach each student as an individual, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and independence while keeping families informed and supported. As a parent of two college students, I understand the process from both sides.

I’ve read college applications as part of the official admissions process, which has given me a clear understanding of what colleges are looking for and how students can authentically tell their stories.
-

In addition to my graduate certificate, I have professional training in multiple areas of the college and career consulting process, including LD/ND mentoring, international university applications, and college essay coaching methods.

Professional Engagement
I am an active member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), including the LD/ND Committee and the LD/ND Tour Subcommittee. I regularly attend college admissions and counselor conferences, including the UC and Cal State annual counselor conferences, as well as professional development events, and I visit colleges both in person and virtually to stay current on programs, policies, and opportunities. I also volunteer with Matchlighters and ScholarMatch to provide free coaching to students who might not otherwise have access to guidance.
